Patch notes; 30/08/18

maintenance complete

All done. Now don’t freak out, I know changes are scary, but I promise you these are all good ones. The goal here was to future-proof the site, so there won’t be any need for any weird sudden changes in the future.
Let’s get into it.

  • The site is now operating on a new theme. Desktop users will notice that the logo has happily moved over to the side, and brings with him a host of new features.
Mobile users shouldn’t notice too much change here.
  • We’ve got MENUS! Aw yeah. There are now dedicated “Reviews” and “News” sections, which you can find on the left, or in the new drop-down menu on mobile. But don’t worry, all posts will continue to appear on the home page, so you can just stick to that. This is mostly for newcomers to the site, so they can easily view older posts.
  • You can now “Buy me a coffee” which is essentially a donations box. It’s linked to my “Kofi” account, so transactions are safe and simple. You can find it on the sidebar to the left, or in the drop-down for mobile users.
No worries though, this is completely optional and full site access is still available to everyone!
  • We’ve got ourselves a MASCOT. Meet Dewy, a little flame droplet fellow who will be hanging around from time to time. Give him attention, he loves it.
    dewy 1 mark 2
And that’s it! Not all that different in the grand scheme of things, but I think we’ll all appreciate these features in the future.
Now, back to your regularly scheduled games nonsense!
