Well, of all the stories I could have anticipated to be writing today, this, most certainly, was not one of them.
Nintendo has released a development update video, issuing a formal apology to all their fans, stating that development on Prime 4 was not going in a direction they were fond of.
Shinya Takahashi, who is in charge of development at Nintendo seemed genuinely sorry, and stated that it was a pained decision, one they deliberated on for a long time but ultimately came to the decision that it had to be restarted. Continue reading Metroid Prime 4 is being rebooted, restarting development from the beginning
It’s official. It’s real. They actually went ahead and released a trailer, at long last.
I, along with probably most of you, have been absolutely baffled as to why a trailer wasn’t shown off at TGS last month, but it’s here now and it looks amazing.
Oddly though, the footage all comes from the same demo they previewed, which raises the question of; “How much of this game have they actually built..?”. Continue reading Yokai Watch 4 finally has an official trailer!
Child of Light, one of my favourite games to release in the past decade, and one of the few games to take advantage of the sorely underused UbiArts engine, was announced to be coming to Switch recently.
And by recently, I mean two months ago, and by coming to Switch, I mean it’s out in a week.
But that’s not what we’re here to talk about! I’m sure you’ve seen it in the title at this point, but have a look at this here tweet from a Ubisoft dev: Continue reading Why is no one talking about Child of Light 2 getting announced?
While I’m tremendously excited to be able to play this game again on a modern console, the lack of a second screen is leading to some questionable, but ultimately understandable decisions with this port.
In the original DS game, enemy encounters were carried out over both screens, with each screen acting as a different “dimension” as such. Continue reading The World Ends With You on Switch has tweaked combat and it’s a little bit concerning
In some exciting news, the shop-keeping, dungeon-exploring Moonlighter hits the Nintendo Switch eshop this November.
No exact date has been given, and sure, it’s a little later than expected, but this game looks so lovely, I’m happy to wait for it. Continue reading Moonlighter arrives on Switch this November!
Back when this was announced to be coming to Switch, I barely glanced. I’m a big fan of Overwatch and didn’t feel it right to spend my time playing such a blatant rip-off.
That is, until recently when at a friend’s house I was handed the controller and told to have a go.
Much to my surprise, the game is extremely well developed. Who would have thought!
That’s not to say it’s as good as Overwatch, because it absolutely is not. But considering it’s all we’ve got on Switch, and finding a solid multiplayer experience on there can be a little tricky, it is brilliant. Continue reading Wait, Paladins on Switch is good?
The World Ends With You is literally my favourite game of all time. Coming from someone who has played video-games throughout his entire life, I hope you take that for what it means. This game is a work of art. It should be hanging in the worlds most prestigious museums, I seriously cannot praise it enough.
But that’s not really what we’re here to talk about. I want to know if we could be seeing a sequel soon, or.. Ever, for that matter.
Continue reading Are we getting a sequel to The World Ends With You next year?
