Child of Light, one of my favourite games to release in the past decade, and one of the few games to take advantage of the sorely underused UbiArts engine, was announced to be coming to Switch recently.
And by recently, I mean two months ago, and by coming to Switch, I mean it’s out in a week.
But that’s not what we’re here to talk about! I’m sure you’ve seen it in the title at this point, but have a look at this here tweet from a Ubisoft dev: Continue reading Why is no one talking about Child of Light 2 getting announced?
It’s no secret that I’ve been.. Well, hella hyped for this game. And yes, I was at the store for 9am this morning like the idiot I am, laughing as I grab the only copy in stock (looks like retail copies may be a little hard to come by).
But anyway, now that I’ve got it, and have played it all day, what do I think of it? Continue reading PSA: Dragon ball FighterZ is out now on Switch and it’s amazing
I’m dying. Nintendo, how have you been sitting on this many announcements?! What the heck this is too much to take. It feels like Christmas.
I won’t touch on everything here, because freakin’ heck there is a lot, but I’ll go through the highlights that excited me most. Continue reading That Nintendo Direct felt like an E3 conference, holy smokes
When Dragon Ball FighterZ was first revealed at E3 2017, I had to do a double-take. The graphics… The- What, how did they do that.
They’ve essentially done the previously impossible, they’ve taken the art-style from the anime and replicated it to ridiculous perfection using… What, 3D models? Whaat. I was in total shock, and still am. Continue reading I’m very excited about Dragon Ball FighterZ on Switch
UPDATE: Due to a large earthquake in the northern Hokkaido region of Japan, the direct has been postponed until further notice.
If you’d like to help those affected in these tragic times, here’s a link to where you can donate:
Nintendo just officially announced a Direct, scheduled for tomorrow at 3pm PT, or 11pm in the UK. Weird, it’s not usually on so late.
But hold up, it’s set to feature a full thirty five minutes of information. Thirty five!
It’s like E3 all over again. Really makes you appreciate these more frequent showings, things feel like a year-round celebration. Continue reading UPDATE: Postponed until further notice. Nintendo Direct coming tomorrow!
Aragami, the clever stealth game by “Merge Games” is confirmed to be getting a Switch release this fall. Neat!
The package includes the full base game, the “Nightfall” expansion, and the “Assassins Mask” DLC. Sweet.
Third party support for the Switch has been nothing but fantastic lately, and it’s showing no signs of letting up, I love it! I’ll be checking this one out for sure.

It’s not hard to find people complaining about Nintendo porting too many Wii U games to Switch. They see it as a waste of time, they feel as if these ports are taking the places of what could have been exciting new games.
This, of course, is absolutely not the case. A port is so much easier than a full game, it’s laughable. The amount of planning, conceptualising, producing, testing, that goes into a full game is huge. Continue reading There are still so many Wii U ports I want to happen
